"LOLITA: the artwork"

Hi everyone! I'm very excited to announce this project I've been hoping to do for several months now: I am looking for artists to contribute to a completely lolita-themed artbook!

I've seen multiple incredibly talented illustrators on egl/egl_comm_art and am hoping you'll collaborate with me to make this book a reality. It is meant to give lolita artists a chance to showcase their work in a professionally printed medium and at the same time have a solid piece to add to their portfolio.

The official call to artists will go out within a couple days, in the meantime please head on over to the blog and spread the word!

Latest and Greatest

I drew these only a day or so ago. I want to illustrate a bunch of the Grimm's fairy tales in lolita style. I still have Hansel & Grethel, Little Red Cap, Rapunzel and maybe a few others to do.

Oranges/ Lolita Fashion Art

( I prefer Granny Smith apples though. )

Two Lolita Pictures (from a while ago LOL)

Title: Girl in a Field
Time Spent: I don't know... a few hours.
Medium Used: Pencil crayons.
Inspiration: Springtime, Easter to be specific.

Time Spent: A few hours.
Medium Used: Oil pastels (for main figure) and Black ink (for background).
Inspiration: How sweet lolitas are often portrayed and stereotyped as cute and perky, so I decided to make a less cheerful, and slightly unsettling image of one.
